The weekend vignette catch
Bulgaria’s weekend vignette is cheap and popular — but it is valid from 12:00 noon on Friday to 23:59 on Sunday, not from the start of Friday. If you drive Friday morning on a weekend vignette, you are not covered. Plan your start accordingly.
Durations
A range from short to long: a 1-day option (added in 2026), the weekend vignette, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual. Electric vehicles get a 20% discount.
Enforcement
Automatic plate-recognition cameras nationwide. A vignette cannot be transferred to another vehicle or corrected after purchase, so enter your plate carefully. Buy before you drive.
